There is a cross tucked inside

Every quilt has a small cross sewn inside the fabric. You cannot see it, but you can feel it through the patchwork — so when you squeeze the quilt in your hand, your fingers find the cross. That is the whole idea behind it, and it is what makes this such a comforting thing to hold in a waiting room, a hospital chair, or a hard season.
